To reach the trail camp, follow the Slate Creek Trail about 3.5 miles from the trailhead near the Visitor Center in Portola Redwoods State Park to

the junction with the Bear Creek Trail which leads to the spectacular Peters Creek Loop Trail. The site of the old Page Mill is about 5 minutes

further up Slate Creek from the trail camp and campers can access water to boil for cooking here. Backpacking stoves may be used.

A pit toilets are provided at the trail camp.
